Penang island is alike singapore, there have many high rise building, for example condominium & apartment due to the limited of land & it was expensive.
Queensbay is a nice place to hang out, after shopping , can take a fresh breath near the beach, i can see a lot of couples near the beach.
Batu Ferringgi, many foreigner like travel to here, a lot of luxurious hotels near by the beach, this hotel is nice too, Park Royal Hotel.
historic building & symbolism of Penang Island
1st time take ferry from Butterworth to Penang island, wow~the feeling was so good!
I like it, but it was saturday afternoon & it was a little jam & crowded, so many peoples & so many cars rush to penang island .
It cost Rm 7.70 for a vehicle & Rm 1.20 for a person to take ferry fr.butterworth to Penang.
It's worthy for a car with 5 person & 6 person because they only charged for the car, person inside will not double charged again per head.
My friend prefer to take ferry because his office near to harbour & it was sometimes save money(due to increased of fuel price & it was jam along the way on penang bridge).
After the car get into the ferry, the passenger inside the car can go out from the car & hang around the ferry, the ferry have two level, upper level for passenger & lower level for vehicles.
We go to upper level for the nice sea view take some photos.It was a nice experience.

Can you easily go to Penang from your place(KL?) if you have two holidays like weekend?
heheh, ya sure ,but a bit tiring if you driving from kuala lumpur to penang, it take around 4 1/2 to 5 hours .
My friend and i take bus to there, it take around 5 hours, so we just chit chatting & sleeping along the way to penang.
We go on weekend, Saturday morning earliest bus 8 am to penang, reach there around 1pm and back on the second day(sunday) 2.30 pm bus.
A lot to share but lately a bit busy, will post more picture later.
ok. I guess it's like I'm going to Tokyo from my place Akita. It takes 4 hours by bullet train.
