Part 3 - Kulai , Johor
Really enjoyable day trip with swee har, ms wong, fei ling & her family to Kulai Jb charity village, a very large about 43 acres of land strategically located at Kulai, Johor Bahru.
The area has a natural surrounding of beautiful landscape of bamboo forest and lush of tropical foliage. Bamboo forest, as synonymous with the legendary Purple Bamboo Grove of Bodhisattva Kuan Yin (Avalokitesvara) in Mount Potalaka in China, is a symbol of graciousness, honorable and virtuous in Zen Buddhism, and blessings of longevity and prosperity in the Chinese Feng Shui.
Construction of the elderly folks home and the event hall has already completed. The structural design of these buildings comes with a touch of the ancient Chinese that was personally designed by Venerable Xuen Fa. In front of the entrance of the event hall, stood a magnificent 20 metre craved statue of Thousand Hands Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara (Kuan Yin), bringing peace and harmony to the place and to those who prostrate, made offerings, circumambulate, or merely looking at the statue.
Away from the bustling city, the ambience at ACV is serene and unpolluted, a sanctuary suitable for meditative practice. Inmates of the elderly folks home enjoy the natural fresh air and healthy vegetarian food made by volunteers who are formerly professional chefs. There is also a tea house where visitors can enjoy palatable Chinese vegetarian cuisine and tea.
The committee of ACV would try to raise more funds to finance the next stage of construction. It is hope that the whole project could be completed in the shortest of time for the benefits and relief of many unfortunate living beings.
The success of ACV depends very much on donations of funds from the compassionate public. Please extend us your great support to realize our spiritual quest through your meritorious generosity.
