Thaipusam - public holiday in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya

Thaipusam will be a public holiday in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya. Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who announced this on Sunday to more than 20,000 people from the Indian community at MIC’s Gathering with the Prime Minister, said he had considered the request by the MIC to declare Thaipusam a public holiday.

wow, suddenly have add in another public holiday for us....happy
heheh, chinese new year is coming , extra one day for us to house keeping & shopping
I think the most happiest group is the indian community because Thaipusam the important celebration for indian community also but before that they have to apply annual leave for themself, seem not so fair for them cos didnt not declare as a public holiday. Finally, it was declared as public holiday. I'm sure all malaysian should be happy with this decision cos all of us have extra one day public holiday...
